Saturday August 16th<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">2009 Top News<br \/>\nWe did it!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Press Contact: Silver Dollar City Publicity<br \/>\n417-338-8210\/338-8207<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It\u2019s Official: Silver Dollar City sets<br \/>\nTop Spinning World Record<\/p>\n<p>Most Spinning Tops Spun Simultaneously<\/p>\n<p>(Branson, MO 02\/09)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<strong>It\u2019s finally official: Silver Dollar City has set the record in The Guinness Book of World Records for the Most Spinning Tops Spun Simultaneously. <\/strong>Back in August of 2008, Silver Dollar City attempted to establish this record with a total of 192 tops spinning in the first-ever event on Main Street.\u00a0 This record was just officially confirmed as a world record by Guinness.<\/p>\n<p>Event planners are already getting ready for this year\u2019s event.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019ve set the date for Saturday, August 15, 2009 to break the record again,\u201d said event coordinator Roy Campbell. \u201cThe event will be bigger and better than last year with top events all day long throughout the park.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To participate in the top event, visitors will need to sign in at Silver Dollar City the day of the event.\u00a0 For information on the Top Spinning Event, call 417-338-3886.<\/p>\n<p>The 2009 season at Silver Dollar City opens with Family Spring Break Days March 19-22, 26-27 &amp; 29, then opens for the regular season with World-Fest on April 4.
