Last month there was a benefit for an amazing performer & dear friend, Tom Mullica. \u00a0Over 850 people were there to show their love & support for him! \u00a0He does his tribute to Red Skelton here in Branson as well as around the nation. \u00a0Tom has Leukemia & is needing financial help. \u00a0If you are in town or would like to make a donation please do so c\/o the information below.<\/p>\n

Silver Dollar City had their official 50th Anniversary opening on May 1st! \u00a0It was spectacular! \u00a0What a feeling of pride for the park, the ‘citizens, & our guests.<\/p>\n

I am honored to say this is my 31st season at Silver Dollar City. \u00a05 days a week I am playing multiple characters all day long over the 56 acre park!<\/p>\n

And my newest character, ‘Colonel Paisley Alowishous Parnell’. \u00a0A true Southern gentleman, Atlanta Georgia to be precise. \u00a0His great-aunt, Opal Parnell donated the McHaffie homestead to Silver Dollar City. \u00a0Here he is below.<\/p>\n

3 days a week (Monday, Friday, & Saturday) I leave Silver Dollar City & go to Big Cedar Lodge where I host a campfire wagon ride as ‘Deputy Birdy’ That is from 6:30 PM – 7:30PM. \u00a0 It is open to anyone either staying at the lodge or right off of the street, well, Hwy. 86! \u00a0Call 417-335-2777 for reservations.<\/p>\n

Here I am as ‘Deputy Birdy’… your host of the fun-filled campfire wagon ride!<\/p>\n

Then, as if this wasn’t enough, I am in my 4th season in The Shepherd of the Hills play! \u00a0I am there every night they have a show – in other words, right now I am there 6 nights a week & then later we will go to a 7-night a week schedule! \u00a0I play 2 comic relief characters, ‘Ollie’ the city slicker.<\/p>\n

What I love most is that my family works there too! \u00a0Yes, my wife & our 2 sons. \u00a0Dede plays ‘Mrs. Wheeler’, Austin, our oldest, is in his 10th season there & does the lights & sound. \u00a0Evan has been ‘Little Pete’ for 6 years & now does this role some & is training to do the lights & sound!<\/p>\n

Now, as if that weren’t enough… \u00a0The 1st Sunday of June, July, & August, I perform several characters at The Bakers Creek Seed Company in Mansfield, MO! \u00a0I love it out there too! \u00a0What a great place for seeds, plants, guest lecturers, vendors of all sorts, & LIVE entertainment! \u00a0I play ‘Deputy Birdy’, ‘Grandpa Tabuchi’ (Shoji’s grandfather), Barney Fife, & ‘Ada Mae’.<\/p>\n

I still make personal appearances too! \u00a0I was just in Sioux City, IA with a group called Spoken 4.<\/p>\n
