Howdy friends! \u00a0It’s me, Terry ‘Homer Lee’ Sanders, Branson’s busiest comedian. \u00a0People keep asking me, “Homer Lee, where are you now?”. \u00a0I tell them, “I’m just like dandelions, I’m all over the place!” \u00a0Heads up for today & tomorrow… \u00a0I will leave Silver Dollar City early today at 2 PM so I can drive this afternoon to Sioux City, IA for a show tomorrow at the Orpheum Theatre with Spoken 4! \u00a0That means I WON’T be at Big Cedar on Monday to do my ‘Campfire Wagon Ride’, BUT my good friend Jack ‘Mercy Pervis the III & 1\/2’ McDowell will cover for me & he’s a hoot!<\/p>\n

This is my 31st season at Silver Dollar City & what a place to be, especially this year as they celebrate their 50th anniversary! \u00a0\"SDC<\/p>\n

Go to silverdollarcity.com for ALL of the AMAZING things they are doing for this celebration. \u00a0I know what you’re thinking, “Oh yeah? \u00a0AMAZING like what?” \u00a0How about this… \u00a0If you were born in 1960 or were married in 1960, you gat a FREE season pass! \u00a0See, AMAZING huh? \u00a0That’s just the tip of the theme park iceberg.<\/p>\n

This is THE year to come to Silver Dollar City. \u00a0Remember in 1969 ‘The Beverly Hillbillies’ came to Silver Dollar City? \u00a0They sure did & filmed 6 episodes of their show there! (My favorite ones)<\/p>\n

This was the only time my parents didn’t take our family to Silver Dollar City because my father said, “We can’t go down there while they’re filming, why, there’ll be over 3,000 people there!” \u00a0Hello? \u00a0That’s a quiet day now! \u00a0Silver Dollar City has a special limited edition DVD of ALL 6 episodes for about $14.00! \u00a0What an AMAZING deal!<\/p>\n

Also this season I host a ‘Campfire Wagon Ride’ at Big Cedar Lodge.<\/p>\n

I know what you’re thinking about this… “Gee I bet you have to be a guest at Big Cedar Lodge to ride on this great trip with our pal Homer Lee!” (‘Deputy Birdy Tweedle’ for this event)<\/p>\n

WRONG! \u00a0It’s open to the guests as well as anyone who wants to go! \u00a0Call 417-335-2777 for reservations. \u00a0It’s an hour-long, fun-filled trip, riding with me to a campsite where we will toast marshmallows, \u00a0drink sarsaparilla, cream soda, & listen to a cowboy or sometimes a cowgirl too, sing your favorite songs & then we’ll head back to the lodge on the wagon. \u00a0Lord knows I’ve been on & off the wagon for some time.<\/p>\n

This will be my 3rd season to be back in ‘The Shepherd of the Hills’ play & they are celebrating their 50th anniversary too! \u00a0This is what originally\u00a0caused the tourism boom \u00a0to Branson!<\/p>\n

When Harold Bell Wright’s book, ‘The Shepherd of the Hills’ was published in 1907 it sold like funnel cakes & people flocked to the Ozark hills to see these people. \u00a0I play 2 comic relief characters in the play, ‘Ollie Stewart’ the city slicker want-a-be & ‘Doc’ who’s catch-phrase is, “What would Sarah & the girls say!”. \u00a0I love being there not just because it’s America’s largest outdoor drama, but, my wife & our 2 sons work there also! \u00a0Yes, I finally get to see my family at night! \u00a0It’s about time!<\/p>\n

I will film my hour-long TV show, ‘Branson Country’ on The Vacation Channel in April. \u00a0This is my 13th season in the show & I love playing ‘Terry the Tour Guide’. \u00a0He’s just like John Edwards, he sure gets around…<\/p>\n

I am back at The Baker Creek Seed Company near Mansfield, MO the first Sunday of June, July, & August. \u00a0I may<\/strong><\/span><\/em> be there the first Monday of May for at least half of the day, 9 AM – 2 PM. \u00a0Check my ‘Personal Appearances’ schedule as we get closer to that date.<\/p>\n

Don’t forget, I make a lot of personal appearances as well. \u00a0If you have a special occasion coming up & want live entertainment, let me know! \u00a0I will try to work you into my schedule. \u00a0One of my best friends, Jack ‘Merciful Pervis the III & a 1\/4’ McDowell & I just performed at the Hilton Convention Center near the Branson Landing on Saturday night for ‘Camp Quality<\/a>‘ \u2014 a wonderful organization that helps kids with cancer go to their camp. \u00a0We all had a blast! \u00a0Check-out their link here at Homerlee.com – they are incredible people!<\/p>\n

Do you like FREE<\/span> ice cream? \u00a0Of course you do! \u00a0Even my best friend Dean the ‘dip your hand in wax’ guy at Silver Dollar City likes FREE<\/span> ice cream! \u00a0I will be scooping FREE<\/span> Ben & Jerry’s ice cream down at the Branson Landing this coming Tuesday, March 23rd from 6 PM to 8 PM as ‘Terry the Tour Guide’. \u00a0If you can’t make it while I’m on scooping duty come down any time during the day because it’s FREE<\/span>! \u00a0You can’t buy FREE<\/span> ice cream!<\/p>\n
