It still seems like it should be December!  LOL!  The 2020 Branson, MO season was about to open up & everyone was getting ready & excited about it!  But…

COVID-19! 

Everything here in Branson except for the essential businesses are closed until perhaps May!  We pray for the world & all those so deeply affected.  

We open Silver Dollar City up in May ~ Our 60th Anniversary with BIG plans to celebrate that ALL year long!  I’ll be there… ALL season long in my 41st year!  Of course, you know me, “Branson’s busiest comedian…” I’ll be everywhere!

This is my 4th season to be the house comedian for CJ Newson’s Classic Country & Comedy show at the Americana Theatre here in Branson, MO.!   If you like CLASSIC COUNTRY music, you will LOVE this fast paced action/comedy-filled production!  2020 we will have our show on Sun., Tues., & Thurs. nights at 8 PM starting in May!

Our 2 sons & I have been involved with the Shepherd of the Hills outdoor Drama since 2002!  Our oldest son, Austin was cast as ‘Little Pete’ & I was cast as ‘Ollie’  Then Evan, our youngest son was also cast as ‘Little Pete’ so for a while we had Pete & Re-Pete!  I’ll be back as ‘Ollie’ & ‘Doc’ when they open Memorial Day Weekend! Evan will be there as ‘Ollie’ & other characters as well as doing the lights & sound!  Austin will be with us in spirit!

Austin Cole Sanders Dec. 7, 1990 ~ Jan. 11, 2020

A very special, “Thank you!” from my wife Dede, our son Evan, myself & our entire family for your outpouring of love, compassion, & sympathy in the tragic loss of our oldest son Austin Cole Sanders.  He fell asleep while driving home on Sat., Jan. 11th, 2020 at 9:55 PM on south Hwy. 65 from Springfield, MO.  On Sat. Jan. 18th we held a true celebration of his life at the Clay Cooper Theatre that was attended by over 1,200 people!  We have peace in our hearts knowing where Austin is, but we just miss him so very, very much.  Peace be with you!

Fast & Furious February is HERE!  

Time stops for no-one & we are hanging on…  

For the 2nd time, I toured with Spoken 4 Quartet on Carnival Cruise Line ‘Glory’  out of New Orleans to Jamaica, Grand Cayman Islands, & Cozumel, Mexico!  This was a gospel cruise & we had a blast from Jan. 26th, 2020 – Feb. 2nd, 2020!  Here’s Gma Beulah before & after the 7.7 earthquake that hit in the middle of the trip!

You can find me next in Hartshorne, OK. at the Liberty Theatre with the Liberty performers & CJ Newsom on Fri., Feb. 14th & 15th at 6:30 PM both nights for their annual Valentine’s Dinner & Show!

Austin Cole Sanders

Dec. 7th, 1990 ~ Jan. 11th, 2020

On Sat., Jan. 11th, 2020, at 10:30 PM our oldest son, Austin Cole Sanders, died in a 1 car accident.  He fell asleep while driving home on S. Hwy. 65 between Springfield, MO. & Branson, MO..  Austin was 29 years old.

Austin was a true source of joy, the hardest working young man we’ve ever known multitasking 4 jobs, he was passionate about all aspects of life, but his true passion were his 2 fur babies ‘Krypto’ & ‘Danver’ & his music!  Austin also had 2 diverse bands, ‘Snake Fighter’ & ‘Venus of Willendorf’!

Sat., Jan. 18th, 2o2o we held a ‘Celebration of the Life of Austin’ at the Clay Cooper Theatre that was attended by over 1,200 friends, fans, & his loving family!

He is missed every day & we are trying our best to work our way through this new life/journey without him.  He leaves behind his amazing brother, Evan James Sanders, his mother Dede Sanders, & I, his father, plus all our family & a host of family-like friends, & ‘Krypto’ & ‘Danver’!

We love you Austin, peace be with you!

Silver Dollar City!

This will be my 41st season to work/play at Silver Dollar City!  I’ll be playing 4-5 characters a day starting March 17th!  This will be their 60th Anniversary so be prepared for all sorts of offers & fun, including the new ride Mystic River Falls!

It has been a very busy year & it’s not over yet!  I have become Branson, Missouri’s busiest comedian!  Where can you find me?

Silver Dollar City!

This is my 40th season to work at this wonderful 1800’s theme park.  During the regular season I play 4-5 characters a day, but at Christmas~time, I am ‘Clarence Peabody, Santa’s helper!  Remember, “What Ho-Ho wants Ho-Ho gets!”  We ended our Christmas time with Santa on Dec. 23rd.  You can find me at Silver Dollar City from Dec. 26th – Jan. 1st crowd controlling at the Frisco Silver Dollar Line!

Big Cedar Lodge!

For 12 years I’ve done countless appears/shows for Big Cedar Lodge!  We start our Christmas show Sat., Dec. 7th where I play the Grinch!  Before the show we have special musical guests at 4:45 PM & our show is at 5:15 PM on the great lawn!  This is OPEN to the public  & is FREE!  It will be on Sat. evenings Dec. 7th, 14th, 21st, & 24th!

TONIGHT is our LAST performance with the Johnson Strings opening the show at 4:45 PM!

Novel November is right!  

It’s the time of year, novel being an adjective, means new or unusual in an interesting way!  It’s OFFICIALLY Christmas time here in Branson, MO & WOW it sure shows!  We open Silver Dollar City Sat., Nov. 2nd, CJ Newson’s Classic Country & Comedy Christmas Show starts Sun., Nov. 3rd, I’m in rehearsal for both ‘Shepherd of the Hills’ ~ Breakfast With Santa & that opens Sa., Nov. 23rd at 8:30 AM!  I’ve written  a new Christmas show/tree Lighting ceremony for Big Cedar Lodge that I’ll be in as well ~ it runs every Sat. in DEC., 7th, 14th, 21st, & also Christmas Eve!

This is my 40th anniversary to perform at Silver Dollar City & as you might recall, instead of playing 4-5 characters a day, I will play ‘Clarence Peabody’ Santa’s personal assistant!  We are at Santa Claus Lane 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM & then 6:30 PM until closing time.  Saturdays we start at 2:30 PM!

For 20 years I’ve been in the Shepherd of the Hills play & this is the last month to enjoy this Ozark original outdoor drama!  I play ‘Ollie’ the city-slicker who enters in a 1907 DeWitt automobile!  The show is every Tues. & Thurs. at 7:30 PM.  Oct. 17th is the last show of the 2019 season.  

4 ~ Big Cedar Lodge

This is my 13th season to write, cast, direct, & produce shows for Big Cedar Lodge!  I host many of their special events like “The Not-So-Newlywed Game”, ALL their 5-K runs, every major holiday spectaculars, etc… You can find me there EVERY Thurs. & Fri. evening at 5:30 hosting a wagon ride with my buddy Jack! We’ll take you on a story-filled adventure through the property!

For 13 years I’ve had the honor of being a part of the MDA ~ Muscular Dystrophy organization as ‘Barney Fife’ for their fund-raisers!  We’ll have a MDA Muscle Walk on Sat., Oct. 12th!  Be there!

Sweet September is here!  It’s almost Fall & that is my favorite season.  2019 has been my busiest season ever out of all 40 years!  Speaking of 40 years…  My ‘Terry Wayne Sanders 40th Anniversary ~ Homer Lee & Friends Farewell Show’ was SOLD~OUT 3 weeks in advance & was the best show we’ve ever done!  Love ~ Laughter ~ & Tears, but well worth the hard work!  

No, I have not & will not retire, “Farewell” meant that I wanted all my fans, friends, & family  to know that sometimes we don’t get the chance to say, “Farewell” & that we need to appreciate every moment that we have.  I am 60 years old, I have worked for 40 years in show business, I have my health, so I will give ANOTHER 40 years & slow down at the age of 100 when I have my ‘Terry Wayne Sanders 80th Anniversary ~ Homer Lee & Friends FINAL Farewell Show’!  It will be Sun., Aug. 31st, 2059!  Get your tickets now!
