this morning, it is a surprise so I can’t tell you what show I will be ‘dropping-in’ at, sorry.  I’ll be at Silver Dollar City  today from 2:30-3:30 as ‘Mr. Clarence Peabody’, Santa’s assistant in the Carousel Barn AKA Kringle’s Krossing,.

Then I’m off to Big Cedar Lodge as ‘Barney Fife’ for my show there & their Christmas tree lighting, & the BACK to Silver Dollar City from 6:30-9:30!

I thoroughly enjoyed playing ‘Homer Lee’ for The Best Is Yet To Come last Monday at the Golden Corral.Tuesday night I was ‘Homer Lee’ again as well as ‘Gma Beulah’ for Evangel Temple’s Assembly of God Christmas party in Springfield.  I saw some of their members last night at Silver Dollar City & they wer so kind & complimentary of my work for their party.  Thanks for asking me!

Wow, only 19 more days before Christmas & we are running like crazy!  Branson is booming right now.  I’m thrilled to be Santa’s helper, ‘Clarence Peabody’ at Silver Dollar City.  Here’s a photos of ‘Clarence’We had a big crowd at SDC on Saturday, 19,384 very happy campers!  Saturday was my first show at Big Cedar too as ‘Barney Fife’ & again another big crowd there.   There are people everywhere!

Check-out the ‘Personal Appearances’ page on this site for all of jobs.  The show at Big Cedar is about 40 minutes of live music, ‘Barney’ & his friend ‘Missy Toe’, the lighting of the gorgeous Big Cedar Christmas tree, & Santa’s arrival in a horse-drawn wagon!  This is free & open to the public as well as the wonderful guests at Big Cedar.  They have all sorts of family activities before the show & your choice of great restaurants with amazing foods & drinks!  Dress warmly.

I have never been prouder than I was last Friday night watching our oldest son, Austin, perform with his band, ‘Quest For Fire’at the ‘Squid & Whale’ in Eureka Springs, ARK.!  It’s a metal-rock group & they are doing a lot of ‘gig’s in the area right now.  Tomorrow he will turn 19 years old!

We survived Thanksgiving & now… Christmas is on the way!  Hey, it’s me, ‘Homer Lee’ saying welcome to my wild/crazy world.  So much to be thankful for – mostly the little things, family, & friends too.  30 years of entertaining folks here in Branson & all over the midwest & I’ve never been bored!  This is my 30th season at Silver Dollar City & it is just breath-taking with all of the Christmas decorations & the ‘feel’ of the holidays.  I’m Santa’s assistant, ‘Clarence Peabody’ & we can be found at the Carousel Barn AKA ‘Kringle’s Krossing’ every day SDC is open.

Last night I left SDC early to make an appearance for a private party at Big Cedar as Joan Rivers!

I have a rehearsal tomorrow (Monday) for the show that  will be doing at Big Cedar as ‘Barney Fife’.  It’s their tree lighting ceremony with live music & a show plus, Santa will be there to top it all off!  I will be working with Amy Chamberlain.  She used to work at Silver Dollar City several years ago as ‘Miss Tillie’ in the Silver Dollar Saloon.  I worked with her last year at Bass Pro in Springfield doing a Christmas show.  If you have time in your hectic Christmas schedule, come down to Bg Cedar for this great Christmas extravaganza, it will be at 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM the first 3 Saturdays of December  (5th, 12th, & 19th) & on Christmas Eve.  ‘Barney’ says, “Hey!”

It’s here… Turkey day!  We’re having a house-full & then my son, Austin & I, are off to work at Silver Dollar City.  This is my oldest son’s 2nd year to work at Silver Dollar City.  He’s a cave guide for Marvel Cave.  I will be in the Carousel Barn AKA Kringle’s Krossing as ‘Clarence Peabody’, assistant to Santa Claus.  We had a good crowd yesterday at Silver Dollar City & they are expecting a good week ALL week/weekend long.  The forecast is good & the bad weather holding off until next Monday!  On our day off of course!

Branson truly is the place for the Holidays!  So much to see & do.  Silver  Dollar City is just breath-taking with over 5,000,000 lights over the 56 acre park, not to mention the shows, crafts, shops, Christmas light parade, & Santa.  I’m his personal assistant, ‘Clarence Peabody’ this Christmas festival & you can find ‘Ho-Ho’ & I in the Carousel Barn AKA (For the Holidays) Kringle’s Krossing from 2:30 – 9.

I’m in rehearsals right now for my appearances as ‘Barney Fife’ at Big Cedar for their Christmas tree lighting ceremony.  I will do a 20 minute show, light the tree & introduce Santa!  This is open to the public as well as the guests of Big Cedar & the show times/dates are… December 5th, 12th, 19th, & Christmas Eve, the 24th at 4:30 PM.

Make plans to come to The Best Is Yet To Come monthly gathering at Golden Corral at 11 AM on Dec. 7th.  I’ll be there as… well, you will just have to come & see who I will be!

It’s hard to believe that 1 week from today will be Thanksgiving!  Even in times like this, there is so much to be thankful for.  It’s the little things that truly mean so much.  The key is laughter, no matter how bad things are, if you can laugh, it will be okay.

I’m having a great time as ‘Mr. Clarence Peabody’ who is Santa’s personal assistant at Silver Dollar City in the Carosel Barn (AKA Kringle’s Krossing).  Silver Dollar City is open Thursday-Sunday 1-9 PM & Saturdays they are open 12 noon-9:30 PM.

I’m in rehearsals for a show that I will do at Big Cedar the first 3 Saturdays in December & Christmas Eve. It’s for their tree lighting ceremony with Santa Claus.  I’m working with Amy Chamberlain who used to work as ‘Tillie’ in the Silver Dollar City saloon show.  She & I worked together in ‘Breakfast With Santa’ last year at Bass Pro in Springfield.  I’ll be playing ‘Barney Fife’ in this show.  It’s from 4:30 5:15 PM on those dates.

That’s right, Friday the 13th! It’s just another day in my book to have a great time! I am thrilled to be a part of Silver Dollar City’s Christmas Festival of Lights. I had a GREAT time entertaining the wonderful staff of Brighton Collectibles at their company party at Big Cedar last Wednesday night!  Yes, it was me & not the real Joan Rivers.  I’ve enjoyed impersonating her for the last 20 years.  I spent the day with her last February & had a ball!  I have many more appearances coming up & they will be added as the contracts are finalized.

Words can’t truly say how thankful I am for everything. Even in bad times we need to look for the silver lining! The weather has been AMAZING & since I’m on my Christmas schedule (I have full days/nights off), I am getting things done like having coffee & conversations with my wife & our sons, visiting with friends, seeing shows, etc…

If you are looking for something great & different & worth your hard earned money, go see the show ‘SIX’ at the Hughes Brothers theatre! Oh my gosh! They truly are amazing & so much fun! There is no band, they don’t need one, it’s all done with their incredible voices! If you love to laugh like I do, you will do it with them. Each brother has his own distinct personality & sense of humor.

I hope that you got to go to the ‘Promenade of Stars Parade’ last Saturday. It was filled with stars & great ones at that. Andy Williams, Debbie Boone, the Osmond brothers, Barbara Fairchild, Tony Orlando, Dino, Kathy Rigby, Neal McCoy, & the list goes on! I was ‘Terry the Tour Guide’ from the Vacation Channel & had a ball. It really was one of the BEST days of my life!

Silver Dollar City is now open for the Christmas season Thursday – Sunday & it is just beautiful! I play ‘Clarence Peabody’ assistant to Santa Claus! We are in the Carosel Barn A.K.A. Kringle’s Krossing 2:30 – 9.

Merry Christmas… in November! I’ll be in the Promenade of Stars parade today. It starts at 10:30 this morning (Saturday November 7th) at White Water on Hiway 76 & ends at The Grand Village. There’s a stage set-up in front of the Titanic Museum where many performers will stop & perform.

Today is also the opening of Silver Dollar City’s Christmas Festival of Lights! Over 4,000,000 lights over the 56 acre park. I’ll be helping Santa in the Carosel Barn/Santa’s workshop everyday that they are open. The park hours are 12-9:30 on Saturdays & 1-9 Thursday-Friday & Sunday.

I pray that even in times like this, you & yours find the true meaning of Christmas. It’s about birth of a baby who changed the world & all our lives – forever. Take time to remember those who are not with us anymore, those that we do have, to laugh, & be thankful for what you do have.
