It’s October & Fall is in the air!  

This is my favorite season for so many reasons…  This is my 36th year that I’ve worked at Silver Dollar City & we’re enjoying their ‘National Harvest & Cowboy Festival’.  Crafter all over the 60 acre 1800’s theme park plus, make it a point to stop by & say “Howdy!” to Violet Hensley the fiddle maker, in her 50th anniversary in this festival!  She’ll turn 99 years young on Oct. 20th!

Sweet September has arrived!  

 I now have 8 jobs, yes, I really do, plus, my yearly, 1-time ONLY variety show was Sunday September 13th! ‘Homer Lee & Friends Variety Show’ Was a SOLD-OUT fundraiser for 3 charities.  I asked everyone who came to this all-star event to bring a nonperishable food item to help us stock the shelves of Riley’s Food Bank. I was there of course with all my comedy antics, plus Clay Cooper, Bob Hubbard of the Foggy River Boys, Bucky Heard, Kelly Smith of Legends In Concert, Jamie Haage of the Grand Jubilee, Cliff Braschler, Dylan Pratt, The Homestead Pickers from Silver Dollar City, & a ton of surprises! As a matter of fact, “Surprise” is the theme of my show this year! On top of all of that, Shoji Tabuchi & Mel Tillis dropped in & surprised us!  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This month you can find me at Silver Dollar City 5 days a week as 5 characters a day, Big Cedar Lodge in my hour-long wagon ride as ‘Deputy Birdy’, the Shepherd of the Hills play as ‘Ollie’ or ‘Doc’, The Muscular Dystrophy Association as ‘Barney Fife’, the Baker Creek Seed Company on Sunday, September 6th 10 AM – 3 PM in Mansfield, MO., on TV on the Vacation Channel all the time, Kelly’s Kountry Junction on DISH Network so check your local listings/times, & personal appearance as well!

My final appearance for 2015 at the Baker Creek Seed Company was Sunday, September 6th in Mansfield, MO. 10 AM – 3:30 PM!   That was a FULL day because I left there & made a surprise appearance at Treasure Lake Resort as ‘Joan Rivers’, & then I was off to appear in the Shepherd of the Hills play!

Saturday, April 18th I’ll be in Springfield at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds 10 AM -12 noon as ‘Gma Beulah’ with the Missouri Boat Ride!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Friday, April 24th at Evangel College is the premiere of a student film I am in!  2 showings, 6 PM & 8 PM at Barnett Hall!  The film is titled, ‘Operation Abacus’!

 

 

 

 

Silver Dollar City opens their ‘World-Fest’ April 9th with so much more to offer than ever before!

 

This will be my 36th season to perform at Silver Dollar City & I’ll be playing 4 characters a day & a few surprises too.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Silver Dollar City has added  an new 8 MILLION dollar area ‘Fireman’s Landing’ with 10 new family adventures!

Plus in the summer we’ll have the Harlem Globetrotters!

 

 

This will be my 14th season in the Shepherd of the Hills play! Where I portray both ‘Ollie’ & ‘Doc’!

No year would be complete with out me playing’ Barney Fife’ for the Muscular Dystrophy Association at their many ‘Lock-ups’ in southwest MO!

I’ve been cast in a Western TV series to be filmed later this year. There’ll be more details on this soon! It’s very exciting, especially since they have announced that Matthew McConaughey will be in it too. The name of the series is ‘Big Sky’.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is my 4th season on ‘Kelly’s Kountry Junction’ a TV show filmed in the Joplin, MO. area & I play numerous characters there!
