Joan Rivers & Terry

Joan Rivers & Terry

Like I said before, life is filled with change. I am on Face Book which keeps me busy, but it’s a lot of fun & I have found some dear friends from WAY back!

The Shepherd of the Hills play is now open for the 2009 season! My family (Dede, our two sons, & I) are back in the show & we love working with such great people & honored to have Keith Thurman as our director. The play opens on May 1st.

Austin, our oldest son, will graduate from the Branson High School on May 15th! We are so proud of him & all of his hard work. Please note we (The Sanders family) will NOT be in The Shepherd of the Hills play on Friday, May 15th due to Austin’s graduation.

Evan our youngest son recently went to State with his wrestling team. it was his first year to ever wrestle & so to go that far was quite the feat!

Everyone has had the thought, “Gee, I wish I could meet…” Being in the entertainment business has helped me to do just that. Several years ago Don Knotts was performing here in Branson, so a friend of mine & I went to see the show & then go to back stage to meet him! He was a warm, humble, & gracious man. I told him that I had been accused of being the ‘Don Knotts of the Ozarks’ to which he said, “Okay, let me hear it.” I did my best, “My whole body is a weapon!”. He grinned from ear to ear & said, “Yeah, you’ve got it!”. One of the best days of my life!

February 28th, 2009, was another one of those days. I flew to Minneapolis, MN. where I spent an amazing day with the one & only, Joan Rivers! What a lovely lady! Class all the way & so compassionate. Here is a photo of the REAL Joan Rivers & I. This is a photo of me dressed-up like Joan that she signed for me. It says, “Dear Terry, I wish I had your legs! Love Joan Rivers”
